Patmos International Film Festival 2015
The 5th International Film Festival of Patmos (IFFP) kicks off on July 23 with some of the finest cinematic offerings as well as workshops and masterclasses.

The International Film Festival of Patmos is a cinematic encounter that brings together the people and friends of the island of Patmos with filmmakers from around the world. People that love Patmos for its uniqueness will have the chance to gather on their favorite island and enrich their vacation with a unique cinematic experience. Others that are exposed to the island’s spirituality for the first time will have the chance to visit one of the world’s most important heritage locations, as well as enjoy the pleasure of watching exceptional films on a star-lit open air theater. The mission of the International Film Festival of Patmos is to create an exceptional context where filmmakers and film-lovers gather in this unique Greek island to share their love for independent cinema, present and discuss their ideas and work, benefit from master classes, or simply relish the visual and intellectual inspiration offered by carefully selected feature films, short films & documentaries.

The festival’s primary objective is to serve as a platform for the creative exchange of ideas between eek and foreign filmmakers and a forum for international partnerships and co-productions. Besides film screenings, the festival will feature workshops, masterclasses, seminars and photo exhibits. Workshops will focus on pitching a screenplay, casting and producing. One of the highlights of 2015’s festival will be a Q&A session with popular American writer Sheryl Strayed after the screening Wild, based the semi-biographical Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail.
