The Aegean Ball Festival was born as an idea by the international basketball player George Printezis who was his dream to organize this athletic festival on his homeland, Syros island. The aim of the event is the celebration of sports and not only, which will become an institution in the coming years for both Syros island and the Cyclades. Fellow companions in this endeavor is the Municipality of  Syros in collaboration with the Greek National Tourism Organization as they  embraced  the vision of the first steps and contributed decisively to the festival’s implementation. Their ultimate aim is to promote Syros island in Greece and abroad. Revenues from  the registrations, after the desire of Printezis himself and the Municipality of Syros island, will be donated to charity institutions for social work and people in need.
