The artist Christianna Economou in collaboration with the non-profit organisation “Agoni Grammi Gonimi” and the local children of Schinoussa – a small Cycladic island in the Aegean Sea – converted an old – abandoned – traditional sailing boat into a piece of art as a memorial to all the greek traditional boats that have been destroyed. The main goal of the project is the salvage of all the greek traditional techniques within the E.U. that tend to disappear. The artist will continue the project to the another four islands which all together with Schinoussa form the “Small Cyclades”.
