A concert under the starry sky on the hill of the Nymphs

The Athens National Observatory in Thission hosts a special musical evening at the beautiful courtyard on the hill of the Nymphs, among the trees and overlooking the sacred rock of the Acropolis and the ancient market, on September 2. The talented pianist and composer, Andreas Katerinopoulos, launches the musical “7 Elements” into a new round of appearances, by combining the ritual of his first live with the energy of the sky of Attica, while the concert will inaguarate the autumn tours of the National Observatory of Athens.

The program includes compositions from his upcoming album and Suites from the collection Film Suites & Suites for ballet, while his presence will be alternating on stage in roles of conductor, frontman and performer.For the first time, the  Soundtrack of “Gerasimos” short film that premiered at the 28th Exgroundfilmfest in Wiesbaden, Germany will be presented. What’s more, distinguished guest musicians will participate while the public will also have the opportunity to make observations of the sky from the hill of Pnyx with the telescope of D. Doridis.

Andreas Katerinopoulos was born in the town of Agrinio in 1980. He studied classical piano, music theory and music composition in his hometown.In April of 2014, he presented the orchestral Ojos Verdes work at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation. It is an instrumental work devoted to the creation of life. He has also composed music for theater and for a short film, and collaborated with the Municipal Theatre of Agrinio as a composer, pianist and actor in 2012 and 2014.
